Programme Leader BA (Hons) Illustration
Programme Leader BA (Hons) Illustration. Graduated with degree in Graphic Design from Middlesex and the Royal College of Art. Worked for Pentagram and John Brimacombe's as a senior graphic designer before establishing a freelance illustration practice represented by Beint and Beint for over 20 years. Principally working for publishing, packaging and editorial clients such as, Campaign Magazine, Design Magazine, Pan Books, Picador, Lee Cooper Jeans, BBC Panorama, Granada Television, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Barclays Bank, Touche Remnant, Chase Manhatten Bank, British Rail, British Telecom and many more.
Since taking over the illustration programme leader role has also been involved in the setting up and day-to-day supervision of the Artist in Residence scheme at Middlesex. Has also set up an incubator scheme called Lot#9 working with illustration graduates to set up various initiatives including a web workshop run by Lot#9 for the public which was very well received. Designed, illustrated and published the Cat Hill Book. Worked on a collaborative staff and student exhibition at the Poetry Society in Covent Garden and am currently designing a staff and student illustrated book of Poetry with the Deputy Dean, Maggie Butt which will probably lead to an exhibition in Shoreditch early next academic year (the book will either be published by an external publisher or by the illustration course, Pearls of Wisdom Press).
