New building at Hendon campus

ADRI’s new home from September

In 2011, the Cat Hill campus of the University will close.

A new Art, Design and Media building is being created at the Hendon campus which includes the home of the Art and Design Research Institute.

This new environmentally friendly building was designed by BPR Architects, to provide teaching, learning and research facilities for the university’s art and design students currently at the Cat Hill campus and media students currently at the Trent Park campus. The building and its facilities will reflect the unique identity of the university’s art, design and media students with a state-of-the-art, creative environment featuring the latest technologies.

This move will create exciting new opportunities to develop the multidisciplinary collaborations we already undertake, for example with computing science and with psychology.

Now called The Grove, the building represents an investment of around £80 million.
