Visual Arts & Design Research is the showcase for world leading research and innovative practice in art, design, visual culture and electronic arts at Middlesex University.
Art and Design Research at Middlesex in REF 2014 was rated “internationally excellent” and “world leading”.
We have a vibrant community of seventy research students across the Faculty of ACI pursuing a range of projects in the history, practice and theory of art and design, media, performing arts, dance, theatre, film and art education. Students are encouraged to work collaboratively, and join the PhD Research Training programme co-ordinated by Professor Vida Midgelow, which hold monthly events throughout the year.
