Professor Anne Massey has been invited to deliver a public talk as part of the Maritime Lecture Series: WW1: Three Sisters organised by the National Maritime Museum to coincide with the centenary of the sinking of the Lusitania.

Prof Massey's talk, titled Ships de luxe: design and the Mauretania, Lusitania and Aquitania explores the role of design and designers on board the Mauretania, Lusitania and Aquitania. She explains how the designers were recruited and used by the shipping line to create floating palaces, and investigates the three ships from a design perspective.
