Graphic Design at Middlesex organises major D&AD event

The Department of Graphic Design at Middlesex University organised and hosted the D&AD Creative Brief-In-London, an inspirational day of industry-led talks and workshops for students on 14 November. The event took place in the atrium of The Grove building at Hendon Campus. D&AD (Design & Art Direction) represents the global creative, design and advertising communities to promote excellence. The organization informs, educates and inspires those who work in the creative industries. The event was attended by over 250 Art & Design students and staff from all over London.

At the D&AD & Industry Talk top industry practitioners presented recent projects and talked about how they made the transition from university to industry. D&AD also launched the prestigious international D&AD Student Design Awards competition for 2013.
The Student Awards Workshops took place in the Graphic Design studios at The Grove and industry professionals shared their top tips on how they approach a brief. Student groups worked collaboratively on briefs and the professionals encouraged ideas and gave advice to help find success.
