Liminal Crossing

How does a piano cross the border in 1989, into the the height of the so called Revival Process - the forced expulsion of Bulgarian Turks from Bulgaria?

Liminal Crossing is the reenactment of moving a piano through the Bulgarian-Turkish border into the height of the so called at that time "Big Excursion" - the forced migration of Bulgarian Turks from Bulgaria to Turkey in the summer of 1989. Ergin's instalation is made in 2009, 20 years later, at the same spot – border crossing point Kapitan Andreevo, and comments on these events through the lens of contemporary art.
